Slow and Steady Wins the Race.  Preston the Turtle has recently been spotted training for the Perkiomen Valley Strides for a Cure race on the Perkiomen trail.  Preston has been focusing on endurance with some long runs and his goal is to just cross the finish line, but he's taking time to relax.  His goal of finishing the race is enough for Preston as it will be for many other people on April 26th, who will be perhaps attempting the 5k for the first time.  Preston will be running in the vertical position for this race so the aerodynamics of his shell in that position will not be favorable.  "I may be slow now", says Preston " but I will finish the race and that's what really counts."  His strategy?  "Lots of gummy worms, little minnies and basking in the sun for the days before the race."
